Ramadan!
So here is a quick post about Ramadan! The month of Ramadan started here in Pakistan yesterday and we had our second fast today. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is the month of fasting. We Muslims fast everyday for a month. Fast starts at the time of dawn after Fajr prayers which time is known as Sehri or Sehr in Urdu, the national language of Pakistan. A good meal is taken at the time of Sehr to make you get going for the long day and the fast is broken with a meal after Maghrib prayers i.e. just before sunset. This meal is known as Iftar or Iftari. We are all extremely excited about Ramadan and one thing all the kids are always excited about is all the food and snacks prepared for Iftar 😀
I’m sure you look forward to that meal at the end of the day, right? I know I would.
Of course! I’l soon share a photo of our iftar table here! Iftar is heavenly!! 😀
Ramadan Kareem.
May Allah ease our thirst during fast.
Ameen! But I am feeling like we were quite too worried about fasting this year however it is not that big a problem! Is it?
Big Problem? HAHA band baja huwa hai.
Its so hot that even by 10 am or 12 am you feel dehydrated, not just that, even if you don’t do anything whole day and keep sleeping till 6 pm, you still feel thirsty.
But anyway, since Fasting is a blessing, so I am trying to enjoy it, and I often think what a strange thing it is, we are fasting just for Allah swt, nobody is seeing us hungry, we can have a few sips of water in some far off corner of home, but still we dont 🙂 .
*Smiles*
hahahahaha it really looks like idhar to band baja e ua a 😀 Thank God things are much better with us! 😀 But I can see you commented just before aftari and tb bhi band nh bajega to kb bajega? 😀 Hardest part for me is aftari ki tayari!
Thank God I don’t have to prepare aftari, but its equally hard to see it and look at the tick tock of clock moving slowly side by side :).
Yes I often wander around internet to kill that small segment of time before aftari which is usually the hardest of the day.
Yes that is the hardest time! Try spending that time standing in kitchen, frying pakoras and you’ll know how blessed you are for not needing to do this! lol
🙂
